Tooth extractions

A tooth may need to come out when it is badly broken, infected or crowded. We numb the area first, and sedation is available if you are anxious.

Frenectomy

A frenectomy releases a tight band of tissue under the tongue or lip that can affect speech, eating or oral health. It is available for children and adults.

Surgery before an implant

Some patients need a tooth removed before an implant. Your dentist plans both steps together. More about dental implants

After an extraction

Some soreness and swelling for a few days is common. Your dentist will tell you how to care for the area and when to call. If the tooth needs replacing, we explain the options, such as an implant, a bridge or a denture.
